2023-2024 Season Registration Information

We are excited to get back to hockey at the state-of-the-art Glenview Community Ice Center facility! We look forward to welcoming all returning and new players to the ice.

In addition to continuing our partnerships with GDI USA, Hockey Militia, The Promo Corp., Offensive Zone and The Blackhawks Youth Hockey Program, we have engaged in a new partnership with Biosteel for the 2023-2024 season.

We are so proud to announce that Glenview Stars are hydrated by Biosteel. Your player can meet our Biosteel representative at GCIC on August 27 and at Stars Fest on September 10, and receive complimentary Biosteel drinks.

We will host 3 Townhall sessions in the Community Room at the Glenview Community Ice Center: August 12, 2023 @ 10:30am (Girls Side), August 19 @ 9:00am (focus on Mites, but Girls and Coeds welcome) and August 19 @ 11:00am (Mites, Girls and Coeds welcome). Parents are strongly encouraged to attend as key information about the club and the upcoming season will be shared. Players are welcome to attend with their parents. We have established an Illinois Hockey Education Committee primarily to support our Mite families as they begin their travel hockey journey.

We are ready to compete in the Central States Developmental Hockey League (CSDHL). We have 5 teams in CSDHL for the 2023-2024 season: Squirt Prospects, Peewee Major, Peewee Prospects, Bantam Major and Bantam Prospects.

We are pleased to announce the addition of a U19 independent team, a combined U16/U19 team that will compete in NIHL and a second U10 Team, which will be a combined U10/U8 Team that will compete in NIHL. We also welcome back our two (2) independent teams (U14 and U16), as well as multiple NIHL teams on the coed and girls’ side at each level.

Your skater/goalie season registration fee includes (individual team slush fund is separate):

• Home ice practice slots per week
• Goalie clinic weekly instruction with GDI USA
• Skills Training with Nellie, Herbster Hockey and Jimmy Philbin Jr. (Monday Nights)
• Dryland Training with Tactic (Peewees and Bantams)
• Stickhandling, Shooting and Dryland Training at GCIC (Mites and Squirts)
• AHAI and team league fees (CUHL, CSDHL and NIHL)
• Coach salaries
• One ticket to a Chicago Blackhawks game for the 2023-2024 season
• Presale access for Chicago Blackhawks tickets
• A Chicago Blackhawks item
• A Biosteel water bottle
• A Biosteel tool
• A tub of Biosteel hydration mix

Skater/Goalie Fees Schedule

*Fee includes payment for 3 out of town tournaments.

We will continue to offer the same multi-player discount we have offered in past seasons as well as a payment plan option (4 payments) for families paying by check. In addition, we will once again offer a need-based scholarship opportunity for players. For more information, please visit our website and submit a completed application beginning August 18, 2023.

Players intending to tryout for CSDHL teams should be ready to commit to travel out of state for regular season games and tournaments when they make a CSDHL team, as schedules are set:

• Squirt Prospects will travel to Indy for CSDHL league games on 9/23-9/24, and will participate in the Wishbone Classic (local -- Thanksgiving), Big Bear Outside Edge (Oxford, OH from 12/8-12/10) and the TPH Music City Showdown (Nashville, TN from 1/12-1/15). The team is waitlisted for the CCM World Invite (Chicago from 11/3-11/5).
• Peewee Major will travel to St. Louis for CSDHL league games on 9/30-10/1, and will participate in the CCM World Invite (Chicago, 11/3-11/5), Wishbone Classic (local -- Thanksgiving), an Ohio Showcase (Cincinnati, 12/8-12/10) and the TPH Music City Showdown (Nashville, TN from 1/12-1/15).
• Peewee Prospects will travel to St. Louis for CSDHL league games on 10/28-10/29 and to Indy on 11/18-11/19, and will participate in the Wishbone Classic (local -- Thanksgiving), The team is waitlisted for the TPH Music City Showdown (Nashville, TN from 1/12-1/15). The alternative for Nashville is Big Bear Sting Like a Bee in Louisville, KY.
• Bantam Major will travel to Colorado for CSDHL league games on 10/6-10/8, and will participate in the Wishbone Classic (local -- Thanksgiving) and the TPH Music City Showdown (Nashville, TN from 1/12-1/15). The team is waitlisted for the CCM World Invite (Chicago from 11/3-11/5).
• Bantam Prospects will travel to Indy for CSDHL league games on 9/30 and to Bloomington on 1/20-1/21, and will participate in the MyHockey Mad City Classic (Madison, WI from 10/20-10/22) and the Wishbone Classic (local -- Thanksgiving), The team is waitlisted for the TPH Music City Showdown (Nashville, TN from 1/12-1/15). The alternative for Nashville is Big Bear Sting Like a Bee in Louisville, KY.

Tournaments for our CUHL and NIHL teams will be announced at our Townhall Meetings.

Uniform fittings for Stars Teams will be held on August 19, 2023 from 12:30-3:00pm in the Stars Meeting Room and on August 30, 2023 from 5:30-8:30pm in the same location. Jr. Stars will be fitted by Offensive Zone pro shop during conditional clinics and tryouts.

Also, mark your calendars for:

1. Stars Fest on September 10. This will be a great pre-game for the Bears v. Packers home opener, and we will have Squares for the big game. We will be auctioning off tickets to the Blackhawks Home Opener on October 21, 2023 v. Las Vegas Golden Knights. Winners will “high-five” the Blackhawks in the tunnel as they take the ice! We will also auction 2 on-ice anthem spots for the GBS v. GBN game on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving! Thank you GBS Hockey!
2. Our second annual golf outing is on September 29, 2023! Shot gun start at 11:30am. Foursomes and sponsorship opportunities are available. We will bring back some of your favorite holes from 2022, along with some fun new additions. Details to come!
3. Stars Night at The Blackhawks Game on January 7, 2023.

Finally, The Stars Cocktail Party will be held on February 2, 2024 at Chevy Chase Country Club – we look forward to celebrating and thanking our families and honoring our age-out players at this awesome event!
