Mite 1 traveled to Ontario, Canada, for the Burlington Golden Horseshoe AAA hockey tournament. Congratulations to Max Itagaki who led the tournament with 12 goals during the round-robin portion of the games and to Joe Speers, who placed in the top 5% of assist leaders. Goalie Max Povorozniouk picked up a shutout in the final game.

Over five games, the team split four against Canadian teams and dropped one against an independent team from Michigan.

During the trip, various team members visited the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, saw Team USA at the IHOF World Juniors in Buffalo, watched a Toronto Maple Leafs game featuring Glenview Stars alum Brett Lebda, ate at Wayne Gretzky's restaurant and visited Niagara Falls.
