The Glenview Stars Hockey Association is proud to announce that 20 Stars players are recipients of the NIHL Academic Excellence Award for the 2012-13 season.

The Academic Excellence program, sponsored by the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL), the Chicago Wolves and Hockey Stop, recognizes student athletes in first through eighth grades with straight "A" report cards. High school student athletes who obtain honor roll status are also eligible.

Winners receive two free tickets to a Chicago Wolves game, recognition in the Hockey Stop newspaper and a NIHL Academic Excellence plaque for high school players.
