Congratulations to the Glenview Stars Squirt CSDHL and Squirt 1 teams for winning the Squirt AA and Squirt A1 divisions, respectively, of the 2012 Bluehawk-Warrior Wishbone Invitational Tournament over Thanksgiving weekend.

Squirt AA

In the Squirt AA division, the Squirt CSDHL team recorded a perfect 5-0 record over the weekend, defeating teams from Winnetka, Northbrook and Independence, Mo., on the way to the championship.

Squirt A1

The Stars Squirt 1 team, battling in the Squirt A1 division, went 2-1 in the round-robin against Northbrook, Wilmette and Chesterfield, Mo., and beat host Winnetka in the championship game.

Tournament Notes

This is the second consecutive championship win in the annual Wishbone tournament for both Coach Jim Philbin in the Squirt AA division and Coach Nick Panos in the Squirt A1 division. Congratulations teams, and coaches!

Other Stars Championship Games

The Stars also extend congratulations to the Glenview Stars PeeWee 1 and Squirt 2 (Stevens) teams, who both made it to the championship game of their divisions. The PeeWees went 2-1 in the tournament before taking second place in the championship to the Winnetka Central States team and Squirt 3 was a perfect 4-0 in the round-robin before dropping the championship game to Saddle & Cycle.
