Girls Wish Lady Foresters "A Big Thanks!"

On Saturday, Nov. 10, the Glenview Stars Girls U8, U10 and U12 teams had an on-ice skills and mentoring session with the Lady Foresters from Lake Forest College.

The talent on the ice was absolutely outstanding. Ava Reisinger of the Stars U8 team said, "It was so much fun seeing the big girls skate."

Capri Crist echoed her, saying, "It was a delight to have college girls take time out of their busy schedule to come share their love of the game. I cannot wait to see the Foresters in action."

The Stars girls teams will head back to Lake Forest College later in the season to watch the Lady Foresters play a home game. It was a nice night for the Stars parents to build new relationships with coaches and fellow parents.

Lake Forest College was represented by:

  • Captain Jenn Caldwell (Senior), a forward from Glenview, Ill., who last played for Chicago Mission and earlier for the Glenview Stars
  • Logan Taylor (Freshman), a forward from Grosse Ile, Mich., who last played for Honeybaked
  • Melissa Paluch (Freshman), a forward from Parma, Mich., who last played for Culver Academy
  • Torey Crown (Sophomore), a defenseman from Harrison Township, Mich., who last played for Honeybaked
  • Marissa Weber (Sophomore), a forward from Sussex, Wis., who last played for Arrowhead

Jenn Caldwell from Lake Forest commented, "We also had a great time with the girls and I'm glad that they had fun!"

The Glenview Stars Girls Program extends a huge thank you to Lake Forest College and to the young ladies who made this mentoring/skills session awesome.
