The Glenview Stars Squirt Bronze hockey team won the Chicago Fall Classic tournament today over the Joliet Jaguars with a final score of 2-1.
Congratulations to the Glenview Stars Squirt Bronze team for winning the Squirt B Championship at the Chicago Fall Classic tournament. The Stars went 2-1 during round-robin play, beating the Affton Americans 5-3, lost 6-3 to the South Bend Irish Rovers, and won against Joliet Jaguars 5-2.
The Stars and Jaguars were destined for a rematch. After a tight, well fought game at the Edge Ice Arena, The Stars defeated the cats 2-1 for the championship banner.
In NIHL league play, the Stars Squirt Bronze team has a 3-3 record in the tiering round. The Stars take on the Vernon Hills Ice Dogs at Glacier Ice Arena tonight at 7 p.m. in Vernon Hills.
