Several Glenview Stars players, and the organization as a whole, received recent awards from league officials.

NIHL Academic Excellence

Five Glenview Stars players recently received awards in the NIHL Academic Excellence "Making the Grade" program. The recipients had straight "A" report cards for at least one grading period and received free tickets to see the Chicago Wolves, recognition in an article in Hockey Stop and a commemorative patch.

IHOA Sportsmanship Award

The Glenview Stars Hockey Association was honored by the Illinois Hockey Official s Association (IHOA) with the 2011 IHOA Sportsmanship Award. The winning hockey associations/clubs were selected by the on-ice officials for displaying good sportsmanship, integrity and fair play from all of their respective team’s staff, players and spectators during this past season.
