It was a great fall weekend for several Glenview Stars teams. The PeeWee 1 team wrapped up the NIHL tiering round with a perfect 8-0 record, scoring 40 goals to become the only undefeated team at the PeeWee Gold level. Great team work and solid goaltending contributed to an outstanding start to the season.

The Stars Squirt 1 team was on the road this weekend, sweeping the Squirt AA division at the Great Lakes Tournament in Holland, Mich. Playing teams from Michigan and Illinois, Squirt 1 won the championship game with a 4-3 victory over the Detroit Dragons.

At the Chicago Fall Classic this weekend, the Stars Bantams and Squirt 3 teams hoisted championship banners. The Bantams went 4-0 during the tournament, beating the Dallas Penguins 4-1 for the championship. MVP goalie Alex Hernandez, along with the rest of the team, held their opponents to only two goals over four games.

In the Squirt level in the Chicago Fall Classic tournament, the Stars Squirt 3 team finished in first place after a series of close games throughout the weekend. The Stars were led by tournament MVP Charlie Leadbetter, who netted four goals and one assist.

Congratulations Stars!
