The Glenview Stars Squirt 2 team played the Chicago Hawks from Darien to a close 2-1 loss at the United Center on Monday before cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks in their huge 6-5 comeback win over the Calgary Flames.

In front of a crowd of about 150 friends and family, the Stars netted a goal by Mark Young with an assist by Anthony Aiello and Declan Harris, making the game exciting to the very end. Unfortunately the Hawks scored in the closing seconds of the game, but the Stars players were happy to have had the chance to play on the United Center ice, meet Blackhawk Andrew Ladd and perhaps catch a glimpse of themselves on the JumboTron.

Everyone stayed for the Blackhawks game and many stayed until the end to witness the exciting overtime finish. At the end of the night, the Stars players left with jerseys, megaphones and memories of a very exciting win over Calgary.
