Top-Notch Coaching and Dedicated Skills Program to Power Team This Season

The Glenview Stars are proud to announce that for the second consecutive year, they will field a Squirt team in the Central States Developmental Hockey League (CSDHL). The CSDHL is a highly competitive league specifically designed for elite Tier II hockey teams within Illinois and the midwestern region of the United States. By incorporating high-level coaching and a strengthened skills program, this year's Central States team will build upon the success enjoyed by last year's CSDHL Squirt team.

Last season, the Stars posted a winning record in CSDHL league play, captured second place in State in the Blackhawk Cup state championship, won the Winnetka-Northbrook Wishbone Classic tournament, vied against the top nationally-ranked Squirt teams in the championship of the Selects Hockey MLK Invitational and traveled to Dallas, St. Louis, Indianapolis and Detroit.

The Stars Squirt CSDHL program will maintain the successful leadership established last year with Hockey Director Sylvain Turcotte and Head Coach Jim Philbin and will incorporate a comprehensive, high-energy skills development program for all Stars players developed by Tim Benz.

Tryouts for the Squirt Central States team will begin on Sept. 3. Read more.
