The Glenview Stars are proud to announce the "Stars Give Back" program. Throughout the season, the Stars will initiate community service projects to benefit members of our community.

The first project is a food drive for the Northfield Township Food Pantry. The Pantry is in desperate need of food items for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Stars will place collection boxes in the lobby of the Glenview Ice Center on Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20, until noon. Please bring items including stuffing mix, canned cranberries, gravy, pasta, pancake mix, syrup, cereal, peanut butter and canned goods. The Pantry will accept fruit and vegetables only if sealed in the original packaging.

The Pantry advises that multiple smaller sizes are better than one large size so that more families can be served. If interested in making a cash donation, please drop a check made out to the Northfield Township Food Pantry in the slot in the door of the Stars office on the mezzanine level of the Glenview Ice Center by noon on Sunday, November 20.

The Stars want to make our first project a success so please give generously and please include your player in shopping for and delivering the items to the ice center. Thanks for your support. See you at the rink!
