On Wednesday, Aug. 5, Glenview Stars girls players were treated to a memorable night of hockey with U.S. Olympic Silver Medalist Kendall Coyne. With nearly 40 girls in attendance, ranging from ages 7-16, Kendall ran a session consisting of skating, skills and small area games.

Kendall spoke to the girls about attitude and commitment, but made sure to focus on the importance of having fun while playing hockey. She interacted individually with each group of girls on the ice, creating special memories for both the players and their parents.

Once the skate was over, Kendall made sure to spend time taking pictures, signing autographs and interacting with each and every girl -- truly showing her commitment to giving back and helping foster the growth and excitement of youth hockey.

Kendall will return to Northeastern University for her senior year this fall. This marks the third year that Kendall has skated with the Glenview Girls hockey program and the Stars are privileged to have her as an extended member of our Girls' Hockey Family.
