Congratulations to the Glenview Stars Midget team for winning the JV/Midget U16 Division of the Firestorm hockey tournament in Indianapolis this past weekend. Facing teams from Michigan, Indiana and Illinois, the Stars went 2-1 in the preliminary round to earn a spot in the championship game on Sunday afternoon.

In the championship game, the Stars rallied back from a 3-0 deficit against the Lawrence Bearcats to win the game 5-3. Second period goals from Stephen Hill and Joey Carvatta closed the gap to 3-2, with the tying goal scored by Carvatta with 8:37 left in regulation. The Stars game-winning goal was scored by Hill at 4:43 in the third period. Matthew Gale closed the scoring with an empty net goal in the final minute of regulation.
